Contrary to what many websites have said, henna can be considerably removed(not all) using these methods. I did both methods and saw the dye leaking from my hair strands. The baking soda method is the best. Doing this procedure a couple times may allow you to cover your previously henna’d hair with permanent dye without getting a color defect (i.e. supposed to be red but turns out green bc of the henna chemical reaction to the permanent dye!!). These methods are helping me get back my curls that were lost by hennaing.
Cornrows are beautiful. Please remember that removal is just as important. Alot of Home users are suffering from thinning and balding when they snatch the bonding glue out of their hair. Or when they rush by ripping braids out of their hair without combing through the knots and tangles at the root of the hair.
