I heard the hair is twisted up with bee’s wax, but I dont know. And when you want to get rid of them, do you really have to shave your head?
Ok so there is a special paste but i don’t think you have to shave your head to get rid of them. You can soak them in a strong conditioner like VO5 and comb them out. Start at the tip (the end) of the dread lock and slowly work your way to the root. Try to get the conditioner inside the middle of the dread.
i thought you just stopped washing your hair and let it clump together.

You twist them everyday and knot it up that way – it builds up and gets stuck that way.. once you knot your hair up like that there is no un doing – you have to shave your head..
