Should I back comb it? He’s Puerto Rican and his hair is REALLY curly but not coarse. I’m thinking back comb instead of comb twist or two strand twist. What do you think?

I think both ways will work, but for a guaranteed decent result – backcombing would be the best option. You can backcomb curly hair and it will backcomb easier than straight caucasian hair.

If you are still unsure, what you could try doing is one dread via backcombing and one of the two strand twist at the back underneath and see which method works best. They will look a little different to each other but if you do them at the very base of his neck – it wont be obvious at all.

But all in all – I think backcombing would be fine.

Ive always wanted a dreadlocks but i dont want to shave my head…

i want to tell u not to brush ur hair… but thats a silly idea… try going to a salon see what they can do… its not the ideal hairstyle.. its kinda bad for ur hair, ur guna get split ends.. sorry i reaally have no idea a specific place that does them..

I want my dreadlocks to be straight, but for some reason they are curly at the end. Any suggestions on what to do.

I heard something about bee’s wax or honey and lemon, but how does it work?

I didn’t use any kind of wax or anything to make my locks stay. I just kept on twisting my hair every day with regular hairgrease. It’s cleaner to do it the natural way because bee’s wax attracts dust and dirt and it sticks in your hair. It took my hair about 8 or 9 months to lock completely. I don’t know if you’re white or black, but if you’re black, twisting without any wax would probably be better because your hair probably naturally kinky of fluffy anyway. If you’re white you probably would have to use some kind of wax to get your hair to stay together.

I think there are many answers to this question and it depends on your own hair. I do not wash my weekly. I only wash my locs once a month or unless it is really necessary. I use a light oil on my scalp and hair. I also go to a "loctician" to have my locs cared for. I like the products at www.myhoneychild.com

What should you use to make temporary dreadlocks? I dont want to try wax because I know for sure that stuff will be really hard to take out. Maybe gel? idk. I just wanted to see what dreads would look like on me for a few hours…

hey here’s my dreads. i had them before for a few months but they where done by a friend so they looked a bit shabby. here they are done in a shop. please rate comment and subscribe. want to know your opinions. i will be making monthly videos. theres wax in them but i probs wont wax them again… sorry about quiet audio and bad camera lol. thanks for watching.

I’m going to get ONE dread lock on the only long part of my hair, (at the lower back, right hand side of my head, I call it my tail) So this week I’m going to get the extensions to make my tail longer, and I was wondering about how to make/take care of my dread lock while making it, and how to maintain good shape of it once it’s made.

(ps, don’t say that the way to make them is by not washing, and not brushing, and not taking care of it. Some people have told me this in the past, and people with dreads have told me it’s bull.)
